  GRAND OLE GOSPEL REUNION
I am pleased to announce that Southern Sound will be appearing again this year at the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion on August 10th, 11th and 12th. This year it is being moved to the Knoxville Civic Auditorium in Knoxville, TN. Charlie Waller is the originator of this event, and come to think of it, Charlie is very original himself. There will never be another Charlie Waller, and we love him dearly for things being just that way. We are again doing sound for some of the events, and singing each night as well. GOGR has become the highlight of our year for we have so much fun with all our friends we have made through the years. Among others attending will be The Florida Boys, The Dove Brothers, The Travelers, The Inspirations, Palmetto State and many others. If you love great traditional quartet singing, this is the event to attend. We guarantee you will have the best time of your life being a part of this great annual event. You can check out more details on http://www.grandolegospelreunion.com/.

  NQC 2006
We are proud to announce that we will be appearing at Freedom Hall for The Artist Spotlight on the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY on September 16th at 2:00pm. We may also be appearing earlier in the week too but that schedule has not been finalized as of yet. This is the grand event for Southern Gospel Music and we are proud to be associated with such a great institution. We have NQC brochures that give rates for tickets and hotel rooms if you wish to attend. Just let us know!

  SOUTHERN SOUND 2006
Each year about this time I begin to ponder the busy season ahead of us. We always have a few weeks off around Christmas, and this year was no exception. It is a time for spending time with family and friends, and hopefully remembering the reason we celebrate in the first place. As we plunge head long into the year 2006, I cannot help but wonder where this year will lead. So much has happened for our group, and so many doors have been opened. I marvel at how God can use even the smallest among us, and we certainly fit that description. Our goal first and foremost is to be in His will. Of course we have personal goals as well, such as singing on the main stage on the National Quartet Convention, and maybe someday we will be invited to do just that. But, if those personal goals are never fulfilled, we must meet the goal that is our due service for He who made it so.

NEW CD "WE WILL STAND" !!!

Our new CD "We Will Stand" is available and being well received. The first single from this project is a song written by Southern Sound pianist, Woody Beatty. Be sure and call your local radio station and request "Happy To Say".

NEW YEAR'S 2006 !
We had a great weekend of singing starting on December 31st at Parkway Baptist Church in Columbia, TN and then traveling north to The Good Shepherd Assembly of God in Evansville, IN for the very first day of the new year. Although we were sorry Trevor could not attend the second night due to a death in his family, we still had a great time singing with our wonderful buddies, The Conquerors Quartet from Evansville, IN. I really think they have the best group they have ever had. Great singing gang! Thanks to our former baritone Keith Harris for pinch-hitting for Trevor on very short notice.

SSQ and THE CROSSMEN !
We will be with our good friends The Crossmen Quartet on April 29th, 2006 at 7:00 pm at the Davis County High School near Owensboro, KY. We are very pleased to begin sponsoring these new events in that area of the country. We need your help to make these a success. Be sure and tell your friends, and make plans to attend now. Then about a month later we will again be with The Crossmen, and also The Conquerors at the Singing on The River, in Owensboro, KY on May the 26th. Both these events will be a lot of fun, with praise to Him.
