HOMECOMING CELEBRATION |
| |
November 18th brings our great friends Palmetto
State Quartet back to Fohs Hall in Marion, KY for a much
deserved return engagement. We had so many people tell
us last year that their concert was the best they had
ever attended. Well, just for you, we booked them again
for the first day of our big two-day Southern Sound Homecoming
Celebration. Advance tickets for Friday night's concert
are $10 each, and $12 each at the door.

Then on Saturday night the 19th at our Homecoming Celebration
we are hosting two great groups, both from the Evansville/
Henderson area. They are The Southlanders and River City
Quartets.Make your plans to attend now. It is going to
be great singing and a whole lot of fun.

ROGER SWEENEY RETIRES! |
| |
Our dear
friend, partner and tenor Roger Sweeney, has retired from
Southern Sound after nearly 7 years of devoted service.
Roger is by far one of the nicest men I have ever met,
a Christian gentleman in every sense of the word. This
past year Roger struggled with chronic voice problems,
which eventually prompted him to resign his position with
SSQ. I know that making that decision had to be difficult
for Roger, as it was difficult for us as well. His work
ethic was without question. Thank you Roger for everything
you have done and will continue to do for SSQ, We love
you. Our prayers go with Roger and his family wherever
God may lead them. |

although a love offering will be received. |

| PLEASE WELCOME JEREMY !!! |
|

We are proud to announce our new tenor Jeremy Calloway
from Owensboro, KY. Jeremy began singing tenor for us
about the first of August and has done a wonderful job.
We really threw him into the midst of the fire right off
the bat, for one of his first engagements with us was
at the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion in Greenville, SC. Not
only did he have to sing several programs each day for
those events, but he also had to record his vocals on
a Pro Tools recording system that we setup in one of our
hotel rooms while we were there. Jeremy is 29 years old,
and he and his wife and daughter attend a church in the
Greenville. KY area. They are a wonderful Christian couple
and we are thrilled to have them as part of our family. |

| NEW CD "WE WILL STAND" !!! |
|
| We
have finished our new CD released on the 4 Square Label
of the Eddie Crook Company. It is titled "We Will
Stand". Trevor wrote the title song for the project
and we have taken that as our motto for the group. We
worked very hard on the song selections, arrangements,
recording the tracks and doing our vocals and finally
it is finished! One of our best/worst critics Garry "Round
Man" Polston says it is the best we have ever done.
Thanks Garry! We are pleased with the results and hope
you will be as well. Get your copy of "We Will Stand"
