WE HAVE SOME NEW FACES! |
| |
Not long ago Keith told us that
he felt led to pastor. So, we begin a search for a new
baritone. Finding the right man who loved the Lord, could
sing great, and whose family would be supportive in all
we do, would be a huge task. Then, God led us to Trevor
Haley. He and his adorable wife Miranda make
a fine young Christian couple and we are overjoyed to
have them in SSQ. Trevor is a great baritone singer and
Miranda has agreed to do the mixing of sound at our concerts.
Also, we had been looking for just the right piano man
for quite awhile, and the Lord knew our needs!
 |
Woody Beatty, whom I believe
is one of the finest piano men ever, has become
our new piano player and emcee.I know all you folks
will join with us in welcoming these two fine Christian
couples to your ever-growing family. Both families
live in Nashville right near me! |

KEITH HARRIS RETIRES |
| |
I
would like a page or two to comment about Keith's retirement
from Southern Sound, but I must give him the space to
say what he feels in his own heart. He and I have sung
together nearly our entire lives, and thus it is not an
easy thing to see Keith leave. But, God's call is far
more important than any ideas of our own. Our prayers
and love go with Keith and Cindy Lou. Thank you for 5
wonderful years, for great songs and great times together.
We love you guys! It sure was fun! |

| IN KEITH'S OWN WORDS |
|
As
many of you already know, Cindy and I are leaving Southern
Sound Quartet as of July 4th. We are taking the Associate
Pastor position at our home church in Madisonville. I
wish to express our love and appreciation
for Charles, Ben, Roger, and their wives, Doris, Delita
and Euleta, you are our dearest friends. These are greatfolks,
and we will miss them terribly, as we will miss all the
many friends we have met through Southern Sound. We must
however, follow the leadership of the Lord. Now, there
are two guys coming into the group (I knew it would take
two - ha!) who will be instrumental in making Southern
Sound better than ever. They are getting one of the industry's
most talented piano player and singer, Mr. Woody Beatty.
And in the baritone spot is Trevor Haley. Trevor is a
tremendous talent and a great all-around guy. You will
immediately see the love of the Lord in him and his sweet
wife, Miranda. The only thing I don't like about Trevor
is he has more hair than I (ha!). I've been with Trevor
and Woody quite a lot and appreciate not only their talent,
but also their love for our Lord. Please continue to support
Southern Sound with your presence, and prayers. You may
contact Cindy and I at www.scripture2scripture.com
or at P.O. Box 1353 Madisonville, KY 42431. Please keep
us in your prayers as we endeavor to do the Lord's work.
We love you all. And, Guys we love and appreciate you
more than we can say. |

| YOUR CHURCH OR CONCERT |
|
| If
you would like to schedule Southern Sound, please call
Charles at 270-965-9165, or Woody at 615-227-4507. We
have a few open dates left in 2004 and we are taking bookings
for 2005 and beyond. We can also add your name to our
newsletter. Just send us your name address and phone number.
Since our membership has skyrocketed, so too have our
costs. Would you help us defer those costs by sending
a $5.00 donation per year subscription to help with the
spiraling costs of printing and postage? Thank you! |
