GRAND OLE GOSPEL REUNION |

The
Saturday of August the 9th will find us in Greenville,
SC singing for Charlie Waller's Grand Ole Gospel Reunion.
The night we are there, all the groups revert to a style
and method not seen in gospel concerts in many a day.
Its two mics, and a piano. No sound tracks are allowed.
Since we usually sing to tracks, I contacted my good friend
Woody Beatty to play for us. He has played professionally
for years, most notably with Palmetto State Quartet, and
more recently with The Singing Ambassadors. Woody has
now rehearsed with us and will accompany us at GOGR. He's
a great, soft-spoken kind of guy with a head full of quartet
harmony knowledge. Thanks Woody! |

ANNUAL QUARTET SING! |

September
the 6th we will again be in Henderson, KY for the annual
Southern Gospel Quartet Reunion held again this year in
the Fine Arts Center. On the program will be The Conquerors,
The Childress Family, Gateway Trio, The Haire Family,
The Vocalystics, River City Quartet, The Southlanders
and Southern Sound. It is always a lot of fun. The singing
starts at 2:00 pm sharp and goes till 9:00 pm that evening.
Empty seats have been rare the last few years so come
early! |

| MEET KEVIN McMANUS! |
|
 Kevin
is the president of ZION MUSIC GROUP located here in Nashville
and is the guy responsible for Southern Sound being affiliated
with this label. Kevin is very talented and has engineered
and produced much of the Southern Gospel Music you have
come to love through the years. I first became aware of
Kevin when I first moved to Nashville in the late 70's.
Since that time he has become the golden ears of choice
for countless Southern Gospel artists. We are fortunate
to have Kevin and the entire staff of ZION MUSIC GROUP
a part of our team. You can meet Kevin and the entire
Zion crew at the National Quartet Convention in Louisville,
at the Zion booth. |

| SPECIAL HOMECOMINGS! |

We will be in Newburgh, IN on July 26th at the Gateway
Baptist Church, with our great friends the Conquerors
Quartet for their annual homecoming. We have a wonderful
relationship with these fine folks and we are looking
forward to being with them once again. Also want to let
you know about our friends Stillwater Quartet from Hopkinsville,
KY. We will be at their homecoming on September 5th held
at Calvary Memorial Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, along
with the Perry's. Both these events should be a lot of
fun and spirit filled. Be sure and plan to attend.
